I see Samargia pitching alot as just a fill in for the Cubs when games are out of hand.Is he progressing where he has a legitimate future as a relief pitcher or even a starter?

I think Brady Quinn is one step above Eric Crouch in the scheme of things depth chart which isn't saying much.In the last Notre Dame-U.S.C game he played in before being drafted alot of his flaws stood out.

Who will succeed more in their respective sport,Quinn or Samargia?

If Samagia bombs out as a pitcher, will he try football?

Yisman,I know all about the ways people like Samargia pronounce their names. My grandparents on my mom's side were born over in old country-Slovania-Croatia and did they all doctor up their names when they came over here.I live near a bunch of Samarzgias and they all spell their names differently. It's hell having a name like that. Can you imagine the problems it causes you signing up for stuff.

A Pete Samargia 3 houses up for me was the goalie on the state A ,which is the lesser class of hockey in Minnesota that won the state tournament a few years back.He got offers from alot of non division 1 schools for a full scholarship. The idiot chose to go to the University of Minnesota as a walk on.He became their version of Rudy. The coach ''Don Lucia'' let him play in a game here and there that meant nothing as a favor because he has roots in this same town.He was really green and with playing time back then at a school like Bemidji State,he may have gone far.I'm sure he can be Googled to see if I'm telling the truth.Good luck on spelling his version of the name though.I just call them all Samargia just so it sounds the right way. Yup,it's spelled Samargia on this guy.

Quinn. People are underestimating his desire. He's been living like the ultimate pro and was doing well last season until he got injured. If Matt Cassel can do well, so can Quinn. It's about stepping up to the next level, and this guy has all the desire and focus to do that. Possible top 5 QB in the league five years down the road.

Samardzija? Hard to say. Reliever. Haven't seen him pitch.

I am not a big ND fan, but Quinn sure did look good against USC in 2005.

In that great game they played, Quinn drove ND something like 85 yards in 7 plays, and then ran the ball in for the go ahead score.

I think Quinn does more. The problem is Cleveland is not a wasteland. They traded Winslow, and they really don't have anyone to throw the ball to. Maybe the coaching change helps him.
