sportsbook.com cabo san lucas super bowl party
    hey guys,

i just got invited to sportsbook.com's all expenses paid trip to cabo san lucas for the super bowl....

i'm fairly new to sportsbook.com (Wallstreet.com was my book when they got bought out by sportsbook.com) and admittedly so, i'm a little skeptical of this trip....Just had a couple of questions for you vets out there:

    A. What's the catch? Airfare, hotel and food are included....there has to be a catch right?

    B. Have any of you guys ever gone to parties put on by sportsbook.com before? Are any of you guys going to this Cabo one?

    Thanks in advance guys...

        bruins,

unfortunately, most of the money they will be using at the party is from customer's they've found a way to job...have fun on tacomax's dime...

I never heard of this offer, and my wagers are as big as sportsbook.com will allow, but they took away my MVP status, presumably for sharp play, which I couldn't argue with and don't mind as long as I can still bet their main lines. But the book is very disorganized - one week I'm getting limit capped on wager types, the next they're giving me 10% on all deposits and a free iPod. Then they're back to par again.

If they are offering you a trip, I say enjoy it. There's no catch; they see you as profitable and this is essentially a bonus.

While they at times have serious customer service issues, you should be ok on the trip as they likely have top people working on putting on the party. Congrats, enjoy.

Expect the following at the party:

              1. Order vodka/tonic
              2. Bartender says "we're out of vodka, wait 5 minutes"
              3. New bottle of vodka arrives, but due to a clerical error, bartender pours vodka onto floor instead of in your glass.
              4. Please wait 5 more minutes
              5. Drink is served

Too funny. He does have a point. If they handle the party like their CS, could be fairly interesting.

                  .
The catch is you have to listen to a day long time share presentation - ha ha.

I'm in Cabo Feb 10th. Villa Estancia 5 star condos, can't wait! Anyone stayed there?

thanks for all the responses guys...

i dunno man...i just think it's very odd that i seem to be the only person in the world that has heard about this "party." that makes me more skepitcal than ever.

and then on top of all that, i know i don't bet that much to begin with...why would they offer me this trip, and not someone like arilou who bets the max that sportsbook.com allows?

                      Bruins,

don't be surprised if you wake up in the morning with one less kidney after the party...you been watching Nip/ Tuck lately?...

Sportsbook.com isn't exactly rolling out the red carpet for me these days, but they let me stay and maxbet their mainlines and while I'd love to have their 10% on all reloads and free trips they're not what matters. I'd rather have that than a 1K limit and human approval for every bet like I'm on at WSEX.

Bruins - They do have a large customer base and they may have selected winners at random. Just because no one else on here has heard of the trip doesn't mean too much. If they offered it to me I would go FWIW.

I just finished in the top 10 on sportsbook.com's semi-final poker tournament and am getting a free trip to Cabo myself. Winner take all $100,000.00 tournament to be played on Sunday... here's one guy hoping there is no catch!
