    Moneygram Question
Just got a message from Moneygram on my cellphone, seems they are suspending my money sending priviledges until I call them back and explain why I am sending so much money to Central America.

Anyone deal with this problem, what should I tell them. I would really like to keep Moneygram as it is easier than Western Union.

I wouldn't discuss this in an open public forum.

Tell them your local drug dealer doesn't like handling cash so you send the funds directly to his suppliers in Central America.

          That should solve your problem.

Tell them you adopted a nice couple of families in Central America and are sending them money to survive.

Shouldn't you consider quit gambling if you are bleeding so much to offshore books?

                    Pavy racer-

What part of my post said anything about bleeding money to offshore sports books. I said I was sending them a lot of money, I never said I wasnt getting back way more in checks then I send. I am just funded at a lot of different books and need to make a couple transactions a week. Reading comprehension is a third grade skill.

how much are we talking about?

i would call them up and ask them what the problem is. if they ask why you are sending blah blah, tell them "it's business. and none of yours. so what's the problem?"

why not just use an alias to get around them blacklisting you?

I only sent money offshore once 4 years ago. Ever since I have only been collecting weekly checks. I am tired of going to Walmart to cash the moneygrams. Wish they send me a big lump sum once a month for my huge winnings.

The alias thing doesnt really work because you need a valid driver's license to send moneygram and not sure I want to go down the fake ID route. Just wondering if anyone else on this forum has dealt with this issue.

                            Really?

Must be a US thing, I am in Canada and I've NEVER needed to provide ID when sending a ** or **, I have sent money using made up names many times.

I thought the USA was a free country? ** must be run by communists.

                              That is surprising.

I have never been asked, not once---to provide id when sending.

Walmart has NEVER asked me for ID SENDING money.

Use different variances of your name if your "Correctly" spelled name is blacklisted, or just use your middle name or nickname, Robert = Bob, James= Juhn, etc.

When asked why I send/receive money, I tell them its buying and selling on ebay.

Also, not everyone drives, picking up money you can use other forms of valid id, State/government issued id.

Boizy, I was being sarcastic in the thread you quoted me.

I'm quite aware that Canada has more freedoms than the USA.

A while back, had a friend who actually sent in a deposit as Mickey Mouse, no id needed, they sent it!

Just rememeber if theres a problem of any kind and you need to change the receivers name or anything, then youd be fked. So its better to use a different variation of your own name. Easier to claim you just messed up the form or the clerk screwed it up with a typo.

                                                  Why not, pal?

This is very minor and insignificant compared to what will go down here over the next several months.

                                                      Thanks Rake-

That is good info, so sending $850 I should be fine and can just put a fake name, what if I do two separate transactions of $850 each but the total is $1700. Also, anyone know the amount you can send through Western Union and still not get ID'ed.

                                                        Yea split them

If you can, use your LAN line for the 1st one, and your cell phone on the 2nd one

I notice when the moneygram cashier enters my phone number, my name with address also comes up.

Once I used a fake phone number, and nothing came up so she had to manually enter the rest of my personal info. So we can be fairly certain that the phone number is used to indicate to moneygram the total amount people are sending....

There could be many John Smith's, but there should only be one person using a specific phone number
