Do teams often get outhit and lose...
    ...in baseball?

I've never really paid all that much attention to it and wonder how often it happens. It seems to have happened to me at least 4 times in the past 10 days or so, my team will have 3 or 4 more hits than the opponents and still lose, pisses me RIGHT OFF!!!

Of Course it Happens. Most teams that win have more hits but it's not uncommon especially in a low scoring game. You must be new to watching baseball.

You can prove, looking at any single column of baseball statistics, that Team A should lose or Team A should win. Even the Pythagorean that so many swear by, and is indeed a very useful tool, is misleading if you only try to make sense of the way the game is played using but one single stat.

I remember this game from last year...I had a good chunk on LAD. I guess I should never complain about never catching a break?
