Buckand dime is a special breed, he's too dumb to realize how dumb he is. Tua injury changes everything, high ankle sprains usually impact players for a while.

Oklahoma's defense struggled last year and we've seen that their offense is a system that looks good with different quarterbacks in it. They will play many bad defenses in the big 12 and Hurts has something to prove, Lawrence just won a national championship and is playing on a team with a good defense, he won't likely play late in many games, and Tua will likely get pulled late in games too like he was in week 1 since his injury last year hurt Alabama.

Solid position with Tua hurt. Just don’t see Burrow winning it unless they go undefeated. Fields with an outside shot, if he shows up big against Michigan and has a Heisman moment plus the others put up a few meh games. Wisky losing and making next week not as big hurts though.

there is a human element here which favors Jalen, and that is the fact he lost his job but still stuck around at BAMA a full year and backed up Tua and by all accounts handled it very well. there may have been a moment or two where he broke down and questioned saban, but by and large, handled it well. graduates. then transfers to OU and is lighting it up. it is a very nice story, moreso than any of the other ones esp burrow and fields. those guys transferred to, but they never did anything of substance at the prior schools.

there is a real human element to the voting, and Jalen has a huge edge in that regard.

Burrow, a senior in his second season as LSU's starter, was listed as long as 200-1 in the summer but has thrived in the Tigers' new spread attack. He has passed for 2,484 yards and 29 touchdowns, with only three interceptions, leading LSU to a 7-0 start.
Hurts, who transferred to Oklahoma from Alabama this offseason, has been just as prolific, accounting for 30 touchdowns (20 passing, 10 rushing) for the Sooners, who are unbeaten at 7-0.

the only way that happens is if OU has close calls against a K-State or TCU type of team, or maybe Okie State. That's it. as long as OU continues to win most of their games by DD and then wins the Big 12, NO ONE loss team will jump them for a spot in the CFP.
