If Your Serious About Poker Know Your Wage Rate
Earnings per hour, most of time even a winning player will realize easier getting a real job with medical benefits.

If your a losing player this applies also

Know Your earnings or loses per hour rate.

    JJ,

That's applicable to anything. If you bet horses, your time is valuable, know how much time you spend capping, watching replays, watching work outs etc to know what your true wage is.

If you bet sports same deal.

MInd you if most people did that and realized how little they were making they probably wouldn't do it.

      Excellent point!!!!

I think the majority of the players that are winning players enjoy playing the game more than they care about their hourly rate..........as long as their winning SOMETHING.

Most poker players believe they are 3x better than they actually are and believe they are making all kinds of money.........when in reality, they are not making that much, especially when you break it down to an hourly rate as you say.

I've always said, 99 out of the 100 poker players that go to Vegas to play poker for profits would be better off in the longrun learning to play MEASLY LOWEND 25 cent video poker where they would be guaranteed $7.50 an hour plus an array of comps and mailings............sad, but true.

I guarantee that is better than 99% of the players in the world........INCLUDING SOME SO CALLED "PROS" that are in the public spotlight making money off of endorsements and other things.

My hourly rate playing at the Bike was up over $25/hr... sadly there are no casinos to play live out here in Texas.

                        Not exactly .

I was only playing as a hobby for a couple hours a week. Never really considered doing it full-time, not sure how much it would have positively or negatively affected my earning potential.

I wish I were as good online as I am in person, but for whatever reason I can't match my patience online. I always end up getting bored and making bad decisions.
