Why the hell not. MLB did absolutely nothing to prevent it's use even when it was clearly evident that many of their star players were using it. Bud Selig is a conman trying to come off like he's holier then thou and that baseball is some kind of virgin. There has always been some sort of cheating going on in baseball. Corked bats, Black Sox scandal, betting on games, nail files, spit, stolen signals, etc. The game has always been about gaining an advantage.
After the baseball strike, I didn't go to a baseball game for years. As soon as Sosa and McGwire started hitting them out the park, baseball swindled me back to the ballparks. Thanks to steroids Mr. Selig you made a chunk of cash. These players played within the rules because there wasn't a rule. Move the fuk on because noone really cares but the blessed virgin Selig.
Steroid using hitters faced steroid using pitchers. Seems fair to me. Baseball has thrown it's own players under the bus and Selig is too much of a pu$$y to admit he stood by and watch. All he needs to do is come out and say that these players played within the rules and they will be inducted and the whole issue would end. As long as he sits quiet and sit on his perch he brings shame among his own players. What an idiot.Comment -
I agree wholeheartedly. MLB is trying to scapegoat these guys and these holier than though sportswriter are backing them. Hell set up a different wing for them if you need too. I personally think the punishment is too harsh. I truly believe that McGwire for example took steroids at a time when it was allowed. Why should for example be punished?Comment
