Being a Reds fan gets worse every year, last year it was CC to the Brewers, now the Cards making moves.....while the Reds continue to sit around and do nothing. The Central has 4 teams that have a legit chance of making a run, imo the Cards are now the front runner, Houston has made a strong surge now only 1.5 games back, feel a run coming from the Cubs or maybe they should just schedule the Nationals every game, Brewers need help or I could see them continuing to slide and falling out of the race.

Good deal, will be looking for him now to add to an NL-only fantasy team I have.
Pujols finally has someone to hit behind him.

In 5 yearts time this might just rival the Piersinskyi/Liriano etc deal between San Fran and Minny all those years ago.
SHOCKINGLY overpaid for 2 months of an average hitter away from Coors field.

They don't have enough left to get Halladay.

Easy win for the A's in this deal.

yeah, i think even more brutal than liriano for pierzynski was that the giants threw joe nathan in that trade too. They got rooked if they did either of those guys singularly, but both? Some teams just consistently screw themselves in trades (ie texas rangers... see adam eaton for chris young and adrian gonzalez etc.)
Cards know what they're doing though and I guarantee if holliday plays well, they'll sign him for a pujols buffer. and there's no way in hell Halladay winds up in STL. It's philly or no trade for the doc at this point imho.

Beane pulled off a steal here. No way he was going to get a better package than this.

This should be the lift to get the Cardinals in the playoffs.

He'll help, but the Cardinals overpaid.
They'll probably lose him to free agency, and the draft picks they'll get won't come anything close to approaching what they gave up.
