a trick that use to work and maybe still does is you call the marketing dept. of say total rewards, tell them either you use to play with them many years ago or that you usually play at a Mlife casino and you want to come back ( or try them )
You don't have to oversell yourself, but tell them you play for 4-6 hours a day ( slots, BJ, craps, etc )

and you are looking for a casino rate, what's the best deal you can offer on a room

as far as food, you can eat cheap in vegas

but like bigdaddy pointed out, they get you on the resort fees, almost no way out of it unless you are RFB
any of the normal nice places will get you for $35-$45 a day ( those $10 or so places are mostly dives )

They will look you up in the system and see no play history and call bs on the story.

Book a trip and if you play with a card, before you check out go see a casino host and see what they can pick up. If you play, they usually will pick up room charges.

that's why I said a long time ago. Total rewards changed their system back around the early 2000's and then again when they went from harrah's entertainment to caesars entertainment in 2005.
I had a host and players card before 2001 and when I called the host was gone and I wasn't in the system in 2008
I asked them for a casino rate and they gave it to me. after my play they took off the charges and comped the room.

it's best to ask, the worst they can tell you is no
