It's just remarkable nowadays that we'd even hear a story like this. I want to say the story seems like a fantasy. Just crazy someone gets nervous over cops at a Starbucks.
Fukking pansy world.
What's even more alarming... is the worker actually told the officers to move. Like, is she a weirdo too?

Why were six cops all taking a coffee break in the first place? Unless they were there on official police business, they need to get back to public servant work. The tax payers don't appreciate the vehicles, gas and salaries they pay for being used for cops running errands while they're on duty. If they want to drink coffee while on duty they need to bring a thermos like the rest of the employed working class citizens. No responsible and successful employer allows employees to just go run errands whenever they feel like it while they're clocked in.

It does look bad on the PD for all 6 cops to take a break simultaneously at one location. That I do agree with.

Yes, from USA.
They were running an errand by definition.
This being done while on duty.
If they want to drink coffee while on duty bring a thermos and a cup.

They "collected" a drink of some sort.
The story didn't specify what exactly.
Then, they remained in the store while consuming whatever they purchased.

So they can't eat even if they bring a lunchbox...because they have to always be driving, eating and driving is dangerous

Its required to have breaks during a shift , period of work .
I could imagine everyone working 8 hrs at minimum and not having a break. Lot of lawsuits would add up people dying of dehydration , especially outside .
Do you require sitting in a certain place for your break ?
I dont , get 30 minutes break each day (10×3) and a 30 minute lunch , can do what the fukk i want to with thise minutes as well.
And don't answer for taxpayer's, answer for you . Im fine with them gettimg coffee , eating donuts , lunch at Burger King .
Anyone willing to possibly not come to their family on a daily basis, theyre A-O-Fukkin-K in my book .

Don't the police get lunch breaks like every other person in the country? I think it's a law.

What???? They wanted a cup a coffee and maybe they had a meeting of minds to fight crime that day.. Who knows?
Cops should be commended not feared especially in a coffee joint. They are obviously there to drink coffee and shoot the shiiit and not to harass customers and shake them down..
This is a working link. I do commend Starbucks for making the public apology which is a shocker...
Police in the city of Tempe say a barista asked them to leave or move away from a customer who "did not feel safe" with officers nearby.

The cops union already asked members to drink coffee at Dunkin Donuts. One coffee shop's loss is another one's gain. No respect for first responders in this country. This is embarrassing.

Could you imagine a snowflake calling 911 and saying: "I'm at Starbucks and 6 cops are drinking coffee. Would you send someone to check because I feel threatened by the coffee smell?".

All I'm saying is... it looks bad. Split up the break.... 2 at a certain period etc. No need for all 6 to go in at once. Yes, I'm sure this goes on in every city... but cover it up a tad better. Don't let the public see this. No need for it. All it produces is more phone calls down to the station and more photos on the internet. That's what this world's all about now... ratting people out. Those cops are smarter than that... they got lazy.

In my city... all the convenience store owners always treat cops well. Free coffee... food etc. Word gets out that cops are there.... and they are less likely to get robbed. Store owners tell me this all the time.
If you treat them like sh#$.... they won't bend over backwards when the call comes out for your store. They will take their time.

I see 4 or 5 cars at a location at least 3+ times a week
It isn't a big deal until the snowflakes make it one sadly
Do they want the cops out shooting black people? According to them, thats all cops do anyways. Arrest minorities and shoot them

So, you believe it's company or PD protocol to allow all 6 officers to be on break at the same time?
