Golden Gates Casino and the Gilpin have the best tournaments. If you are looking to play live action, The Lodge and Ameristar are the way to go. We have just increased limits, so all of the casinos probably have decent games.

Are the drinks free? Can you obtain comps?

Ironically, I just got back from Black Hawk for the first time since they raised the limits. Drinks are free while playing. I know there are comps, but I am not sure how good they are as I never take advantage of them since I live thirty minutes away. All of the casinos have "players cards" that you must register for in order to get any comps.

I had about fifteen free drinks today, so keep that in mind when listening to my suggestions.

Was planning on going and playing the Heartland Poker Tour event there in July but had a wedding to go to that weekend. They're having another there in late September at the Golden Gates. If you go to that, let me know as I'll probably be there.

i believe the lodge has up to 30-60 hold'em
most other places are doing standard 1-2 to 100
and 4-8limit.
