Ac isn't an easy flight from anywhere. Minimum 1 hour drive from major airports. Or have to take connection into acy as most flights are not direct

Whoever suggested singapore/Macau you’re nuts. You must be a trust fund kid to suggest one of those places. No one in their right mind here is traveling 20+ hours on plane, $1.5k+ airfare to gamble. Hell to the HECK no. For those working, 2 days of PTO just for travel just even including down time from jet lag. If everyone lived in Australia okay then maybe but we don’t.

Honestly though. I've done the 14-15 hours flight from Sydney to LA half a dozen times in economy. It aint as bad as it sounds. In fact its surprisingly easy to deal with.

5 hours to LA and 7 hours to Macau is really not a killer at all.
