Saw something unusual today

While out on a Tim Horton's run, right there at the side of the road was a Chinese teenage girl walking a dog. I've never seen a Chinese person with apparent ownership of a dog. First thought was no way, she must be a hired hand. House sitting for a vacationing family. Feed & walk the dog, water the plants.......or paid by the disable-bodied old lady next door to take ol' Fido for a stroll.

Could I be wrong? Pico et al: Have the Chinese living in the west adopted our belief in dog being man's best friend?

NOTE: I'm not one who thinks every Asian person is Chinese. This girl looked Chinese.

By children I was speaking more of babies. People want to hold & kiss a cute little baby but don't want to be there when it's crying all night, etc.....big responsibility
