Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Greetings SBR,

I was debating posting a vid or not posting a vid however I chose the latter because I don't want to bring down the mood of SBR with my appearance. Anyways, for those of you who have followed my very crappy story the conclusion is almost here. As some of you may or may not know I left to the Univeristy of Florida in early June and was having a surgery where my left ventricle would be reconstructed, however things did not go as planned and after 2 attempts they determined it was too risky to continue...

So here I am, I am just asking for a brief result of what everyone thinks next as a "harsh dose of reality" because I am very torn between what I should do and what I want to do.

Basically the gravest of choices needs to be made.

If you could vote for one of the 3 in the poll and be honest that is much appreciated. If you would like to rip on me or whatever, thats fine... but I just wanted to come back and hear from some friends.

Can't you do a both 1 and 2? That sounds like a good strategy. Option 3, maybe less of a good choice. Although you haven't had the best of luck with the doctors I'm sure it's not an ailment which is easily cured and one with a 100% success rate. Best of luck in any case.

Best wishes on whatever you decide but I (and honestly I don't know how many people could) cannot but such a weighty decision on a poll at a gambling forum. I mean absolutely no offense by this but I can't imagine letting random people lead you toward such a tough choice. I think this involves personal and deep searching into your own soul to figure out what's best for you. Unless someone has been in such a situation I do not believe they could truly lend a valuable opinion to this area of concern.

Thank you for the kind advice/comments everyone. I sometimes just seek opinion to put things into true perspective for me. I am in the mood to look past certain things which is not always intelligent and hearing biased opinions from my family all the time gets somewhat old so it is nice to get a fresh opinion from some people... also I like to keep things more lighthearted now adays.

Honestly, I know I don't know a lot of you but even a gambling board can show some truly kind people... again wishing the best... and I will probably post my vid of what I decide to do sometime tomorrow... i have until the 24th to decide what to do.

Not dodging the question but there is nowhere near enough information here. I'd want to have some in-depth discussions about the likelihood of receiving a transplant, the possible outcomes of "somewhat ignoring docs."

I would want to talk to multiple sources about the state of the art in terms of alternate, less invasive procedures. I want specifics. That would lead to more discussions about odds and expectations of each individual option.

I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

I have a strong leaning against option 3, I'll tell you that.

tuff decision, if it was me I'd do all 3. Do you have kids? if so think whats best for them...
but there comes a point with some circumstances that it is what it is. If thats the case dont spend your time sulking and instead live your life to the fullest and have no regrets. I wish you the best and hopefully there will be resolution to your condition.

i hope the best for u bud, if i can do anything at all please contct me, money a ride whatever, my prayers are with u brother.. I would say 1-2 would be ur best bet. There are some really good docs and talk to as many as you can and try to come to a concensus.

XStud, you were in my thoughts last week. After your last vid months ago, I was wondering how you were doing. This is such a heavy and serious decision that I don't feel comfortable throwing in my 2 cents. Now you say docs have caused some irrepairable damage. Is this something you can sue for? Maybe get some $$ to help you out during your tough time?

Thanks for the very kind thoughts everyone, It is much appreciated and I am glad that I can come here and hear such things.. because right now they are not too prevalent.

Thanks for the ideas, and I definitely take them to heart (no pun intended). I have gotten 4 different opinions in the past several months regarding this but it sounds like the general opinion is that 1 more could not hurt.

As far as money etc, yeah i am broke, yeah i am in insane debt and even if i am put on a donor receipiant list there is a matter of paying for it all, but it is just money and i am sure it will work out the way it is meant to work out.

I will update anyone that wants updates whenever i can... I have to pack for a trip to gainsville, i will most likely update Amby via phone regarding what is going on...

One last thing, sorry about my attitude towards doctors... i just have had this health problem for several years and now it suddenly has become an enormous problem due to a few failed attempts at trying to treat what is going on. I just feel like someone "awoke a sleeping giant" yeah i know it sounds lame..
