This isn't 4chan. Everyone has a username. When the same username makes posts that turn out to be true, he gains credibility and the trust of the community. What I'm saying is that the reddit user in question has proven to be a reliable source of information with respect to Lakers news in the subreddit.

Pretty cold hearted to sign with them before even meeting with the Raptors and letting them pitch. If Lakers do get him, just cancel the season, how do they lose?

If Kawhi signs with Lakers, it will continue to show how stupid the NBA has become. Let's all build a superteam. I remember in the days when the NBA was great, MJ, Magic and Bird wanted to beat the best, not play with the best. Today, it's about trying to put as many superstars together on a team as possible. I hate it. It eliminates 25+ teams from even having a chance of competing for a title before the season even begins.

Yeah. I remember it very well. Magic played with All Stars Kareem and Worthy. Bird played with All Stars McHale and Parish. MJ played with All Stars Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Harper

Magic was drafted with LA. Bird was drafted with Boston. MJ was drafted by Chicago. They didn't hop around and change teams, nor did they beg other all-star athletes to join them. Most all those players you listed were drafted by those teams, too. I don't recall MJ calling Scottie Pippen and saying "Please Scottie...come to Chicago." Not to mention Scottie wasn't that great without MJ anyways.

The difference was that was in the 1980s before the expansion teams and there was enough talen to go around, many teams had 3 all-stars like Utah, PHiladelphia.

IMO I still don't think the Lakers would be a superior playoff team. Yes, superior regular season team... not a playoff team. They have zero depth.

I think they'll be ok iggy plans to join them and few decent players will top 8 man rotation in most playoffs

Lebron, AD, Kawhi? Plus probably Danny Green? Maybe Iggy? That's more super of a team than GS was or what Lebron put together in Miami. I think that would be insane.

They already the favs! With Leonard nobody could fukk w them! Just like heat they will have vets w little left in tank take the minimum to fill out roster and get a ring. I really hope Leonard doesn’t do that, Lakers gonna get to at least conf finals and could very well win it without him, hope he stays in Toronto or goes elsewhere to balance out the power.

If all the old farts don't get injured sure.. Lakers would be still solid just with AD and Kawhi and Green and supporting cast... Lebron and Iggy probably will get injured if they are playing big minutes all season long.

One of those 2 old guys go down for sure is my best guess anyways..

Iggy aside, with the other four they’re fine. If Durant had stayed in GS it’d be King Kong vs Godzilla, but with him gone, Super Team Lakers would take it with those three or four stars.
