The fact that we have an Art Vandelay and an Art Vandeleigh sort of shows we're getting to be pretty big.

Seems strange considering there are only about 100 active posters though...It takes time to build a forum. Lot of these 3500 posters are ghosts created by the mods as a way to increase the number of posters so that SBR can increase advertising rates. Hence, more posters means more exposure which means higher advertising rates.

Heard this from a mod by the way....

As long as those 3400 stay away from the Navigator, I'm cool with them.

You didnt hear it here and if you did please name them. If any mod or employee here were to do that they would not work here.

Anyway, I dont know of ANY book that looks at the number of posts or posters. They track how much business you send. And even Buddy probably knows they are pretty happy with the forum.

maybe....it's a great forum though. Any form that can tolerate a guy like Taco and all the crap he talks has to be given a lot of credit. A guy like that would have been canned months ago.

I heard it from a mod on a different gaming forum. Mods were instructured to construct five new posters a week. Eventually it added up. Some of the more creative mods were able to add up to 7 or 8 new posters a week.

Growing at a very good rate indeed.

Takes time to build a forum from the ground up thats for sure. Been there done that before at a few places. As far the the advertising stuff goes I couldn't tell you about that stuff, because that was never in my job description. So needless to say you didn't hear that from me. I'm kinds curious who might have told you that though double B.

EOG does that, I worked there and know it for a fact but then again Shrink is the most dishonest guy ever on a forum. The guy stuck me $400. I do not know any other forum that does it other than RX and I have been on the inside at every major forum in the world.

I know other forums do that. But I dont want those games played here. How can you measure the results from your staff and their managers if they are changing or manipulating the numbers?

SBR is unique and lucky in a way that we don't rely on the forum to pay the bills. Our lines service gets most of our time and generates a fair share of the revenue. The forum has been a lot of fun. Gives me something to do when I'm supposed to be sleeping...errr...working .

I had over 85 names at EOG and was applauded for it, 35 at RX

You get rewarded at those two sites if you post with lots of names.

Remember books are looking at signups from the banners not how many posts are on a board.
