I don't remember the book, but the one that the Rx used to have in the upper left hand corner of the sports forum. I don't think naked man-ass is going to get many people interested, maybe RS...

#40I don't like the layout at SIA or Intertops. Justbet's old canary-on-white and navy-on-black color scheme made me nostalgic for invisible ink.Comment -

#42It's too bad yabet.com changed their site layout some time ago, as they had this title hands down. It was like looking directly at the sun; You could only do it for a fraction of a second before having to turn away or risk blindless and/or perhaps insanity.....Comment -

#43The site layouts are an underestimated part of online betting. I realize it's all about speed, accuracy, and placing bets, and that the layout is secondary. But, believe it or not, I've heard people say they selected a book for their layout!
Matchbook uses the simple four color scheme. Same as E-bay. It works well.
I never really played at Bodog, but a few years ago they were going for a look that was well thought out. Kind of the tattoo, motorcycle, urban industrial vibe. It was the only book with a clearly designed color scheme, and it's a pity other sites didn't pick up on that.
I also like the American diners 50's look, with the cool metal edges, clean red plastic, and jukeboxes. There are so many atmospheres that can be created, that could add just enough to a site where people would prefer it over a competitor.
If it's not important, as is often heard, why does a first class trading site like Thinkorswim spend so much time and energy on the look and functionality of their trading platform? Head and shoulders above anybody else.Comment -

It's hard to believe that people will go for a site becuse of just the way it looks, not caring about odds/payouts etc. Just look at PLAYERSONLY.COM. It does look pretty good but nobody should play there.Comment -

#45Not the point. Do you think E-bay would have been as successful if they had looked like the Greek? I seriously doubt it. Black backgrounds are so ... 1995.
Personally, I don't care if a book is bare bones. I just want it to be fast and reliable. But to suggest that people aren't influenced by aesthetics is absurd. Just on this site itself some people want the old look back.
I would set up a book very different. I would give people a personal page, where they can keep their important info, links, comments, as well as control the look. I would throw in betting tools as well. And from that page they could access the different sports to bet on. And all bets, with live scores, would show on the personal page. I might even add periodical prizes for the best looking page. Because the more people would personalize their page, the less they would be inclined to bet elsewhere. And the more time they would spend on the site, the more action bets they'd be inclined to make.Comment -

#54Originally posted by TheBeautifulGameWhich sportsbook that you have come across is the nastiest, most horrible looking site you have ever come across? At the end of the day, I don't care what the site looks like if they offer great odds/service/payouts etc but my vote for the worst looking web site is WIN4REAL.COM.
I don't know who thought this site would look good? Someone was stoned out of their tree when they thought of it. I would not join this site if you paid me but I used to see it all the time and I just checked a minute ago and it's still the same crappy looking site.
Do you agree or what sportsbook really pisses you off to look at?
Cheers.
----geez, i totally agreed with you dude. So annoying. I think that's a site for kids. lols!!!
I've noticed that 12bet is also a plain site but at least they offer ohh so good odds..
That's what matter right??
Anyway, who got the best interface?

#58Yea, it's like the site is aimed at underage gamblers. lol. 12bet is plain but as you said, the odds are the most important thing about a site. I think the best interface although, I don't bet there anymore has to be given to BET365.COM. Forgive me for sounding like a shill but there site is very easy to use and their live betting is the best around. Of course, they do limit you quickly, thats the only bad thing but going by interface alone, I would have to give it to BET365Originally posted by andrea----geez, i totally agreed with you dude.
