I work at a grocery store and I run the cash register and bag sometimes. I get paid $9.50 an hour and get 20+ a week.

Make at least $190 a week or around there and for 18, not a bad job to have.

I obviously don't wanna work there the rest of my life, but have been there for 3 years and don't mind it as a summer job and also to have some extra cash.

And while at work, I 100% am NOT supposed to use cell phone and if caught texting can get FIRED.

Luckily I'm good and don't get caught, but I usually am not texting, rather checking scores of games and the occasional text. On break, I sometimes check the forums.

So, who else has a real job, maybe full time or maybe part time like me.

but it does seem like a lot of ppl are on here 24/7

P.S. My hours BLOW...>I have to work in an hour 630-11
and miss all the games

I work sometimes around 84 hours per week. It is my own business though, so I don't mind. It is not really work for me because I am always out in the field. I take a few clients to a movie, out to dinner or just hang out at my house and I am getting paid. I own two group homes that house Adults with developmental disabilities. I also deal with youth at risk. I love what I do and wouldn't change it for the World. Financially I never thought I would be where I am at in life, it is a dream come true for me, but I have worked my ass off for what I have. Lots of College that was very painful to get where I am at..The only thing that sucks about what I do is that I have a lot of paperwork that I must turn into the State each month.

Im a Front lanes manager at target i make 13.50 an hour, im 19 years old. I work 36.25 hours every week. comes out to about $750 every 2 week after taxes. Im sick of working there but i cant seem to find a better job. not even joking, I'm the best person at my job at the grocery store. You would want to come through my line. I'm the fastest cashier, averaging 1.74 seconds per item. I won fastest cashier competition for $100 as well.

I mean, I still have fun at work, I love to flirt w/ the girls and have had a few GFs from there. I joke around w/ customers and they love it. I get compliments from the customers on a regular basis. The only person that doesn't like me is the FRONT END BOSS who has tried to fire me 5 times, but won't do it. Other than that, other employees and customers all like me.

As for famous people that have come through my line....one 1 and not that famous only locally, Mrs. McCaffery who is wife of Fran who is coach of Siena. Other than that, just normal people.
