No game is a trap if you cap and bet it without looking at the line or line movement.

trap gm has nothing to do with linesmakers/sportsbooks but rather the betting public who overrates one side too much and underrates the other..............boom, trap game

Nothing in the world is better than being trapped inside a glory hole

I've heard the word "Trap" used since I 1st got into betting (early 70s). The bookie knows all so he lays a trap with a too good to be true line thus trapping the bettor on the wrong 'right side'.

myth, because for every 20 suckers who bets into the trap, there is a super sharp pro who will pound the other side for more than the 20 suckers do so the books will lose..............putting out a trap line will expose them too much to the big boys who bet big and know how to sniff out the trap and go the same side as the books are on, and then some

                    myth

With offshore betting being the number one choice, its hard for 1 bookie to have an opinionated line without getting nailed. I say most lines are near true value.

No such things as "traps", its probably just public perception.

Like the Mets game today, they are +120... Seems "too good to be true" but I think it is right on the money.

Traps are something to talk about for people who don't know what they are doing.

Just one of a million things to distract them from the fact that they - like most sports bettors - might as well be flipping a coin for their picks.

Sorta like saying "I had the right side but they lost"

Yes it is for real! I live and die by my signature in my name!
If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!

I have a natural instinct to exploit market ineffieciencies!!
