my favorite laker team in recent memory was the 2005 team that did not make the playoffs................a close 2nd was the 2007 team that lost to phx, 4-1, in the 1st rd of the 'offs...................i also have a real soft spot in my heart for the 2006 team that held a 3-1 lead over phx in the 1st rd of the 'offs but became only the 2nd or 3rd team in history (i think) to lose a playoff series after being up 3-1
