i remember when the "great" iowa team of 2002 went 10-1 and met usc in the orange bowl

Game was way closer than the score indicated.......I think Iowa trailed only by 3 at the half.

All-world safety BOB SANDERS was hurt near the end of the 1st half and never returned, a HUGE loss for the Iowa defense.

Having said that, USC was a great team and certainly better than Iowa in 2002. Iowa DID have a great team that year.

Both teams now have numerous players in the NFL that played in that game.
