Either way good luck John
I’m considering making an all-in, truly massive wager on the Padres tonight

#41i'd tread lightly on this one. SD pitcher had issues last 2 outs. both at home. first one got knocked around by colorado 8-2 loss. next start against a fading seattle team he walked 5 obviously making an adjustment not to throw the ball over the plate. ATL pitcher lights out in his two starts and is at home here and team is going well. price is right but....Originally posted by TigerWoods3Thanks bro. I think I’m going toComment -

#42Yeah tough spot for Padres. Lineup missing couple bats -2 there. Extra inning pen stress back to back in DC.
Then you look at the matchup, Atlanta a house of horrors for Padres. They simply lose there all the time, one win in the last 3 years. I unloaded on the Braves, game, first five, run line.Comment -

#58Sorry you lost.,
If I had seen this thread earlier (didn’t have any time to post today) I’d have warned that it a huge mistake to go big on any one single baseball game. Nothing to do with who you liked here, pads wernt a bad play. Regular season any sport just not a good idea to go much bigger than any other bet, doubly true in baseball, the outcomes are just too random. You far better off getting down equal amounts as often as possible on games like this than unloading on any single one.Comment -

i saw, and presumably you did too, that tatis was out. you got a better price i think because of that.... who was the 2nd player out?
anyway, get them next time.... i would have preferred padres at home, but then price would have been alot worse.Comment -

#64yup, i've posted on this phenomenon before. (i'd forgotten that i had).... it does seem like the hit rate is terrible. and i don't think it's selective memory.Originally posted by Plaza23The hit rate on SBR locks or All In has to be 25%
another phenomenon is a bunch of people on this forum lining up on the "this line doesn't make sense". invariably it's a consistent loser too.Comment -

#66You would think so I suppose which they probably are closer to overall but they seem to have a true gift for stepping out on a ledge on worst possible plays! Lol. Not to mention some these guys simply defy the odds and lose at a insane clip it seems. Over the years we have seen many with that “gift”, recently mr Johnny been the poster picking up the mantle, havnt seen him win a posted bet in months and he was posting daily during the ncaa tourney and has thrown few others out recently, Portland was his gem tonight.Originally posted by gojetsgomoxiesif guys are truly clueless, wouldn't the win rate still be close to 50% (like flipping a coin or basically white noise)?? maybe that's wrong thinking by me though
Far as this one didn’t have chance to cap mlb card today cause had a long day but looking at it after the fact can’t say pads were a bad play at the price. It just never makes sense to go any bigger than normal on a regular season mlb game.Comment -
