This layout will take a bit to get used to. Not sure exactly what it is but it seems a bit brighter to me. Probably get used to the new look with time.

Yeah seems quite a bit better on my netbook now.

Think the sudden change was a shock to most more than anything...nice feature to change the avatar with a click of the mouse as well.

I thought this was pretty cool. The "green" and "blue" are actually the same color.

NP Bill. Crazy stuff with that...definitely doesn't take a whole lot to change the way the eyes/mind look at things.

Also, there is no way of knowing if a poster is logged in or not and/or if they are restricted.

I've used it the last three days and I'm 3-0 on plays posted there. That's due to my overall hot streak, but just for fun, I'll say the status did it.

i see yellow with a hint of green and aqua.. and i have taken the test for color blindness.. no color blindness..

i can see the aqua on the corners of the yellowish band..

I actually not sold on the Search feature. I think it would be better if a link were still available from the forum to Advanced search. As it currently stands I have to initiate a search knowing that the results will be inadequate, then select an Advanced Search from the results page, then modify my parameters, then search again. It seems terribly cumbersome.

We also still don't have the location back under our avatars. I was still chuckling over Bread's "In a bread box" entry everytime I saw it. It was a daily chuckle which this new skin deprives me of. Now I am sad...

Oh and can we axe the contest calendar on the right of the screen above the banner ad? I use Ad-Block Plus so I don't have to see those silly SBR banners for things I already know exist, and I think if the contest calendar was placed somewhere else my forum would revert to full screen width thanks to the collapse function of ABP.

While I'm on the subject, whatever happened to the Social Groups we used to access from our User CP? I never was able to get it off the ground because it was always broken, but we were going to use it to share chat plays and retain memorable discussions from chat for those who were absent. And before you give me the party line "Use the spreadsheet!" I'll say that we tried and the thing was always broken. I'm sure it's fixed now, but it's a pain nonetheless. Having an invite-only location with which to disseminate that information was very much to our purpose, and thus I think it was to yours as well.

There's still more things that I would like to see improved, but we'll see how these are handled first.

Would anybody at SBR care to at least acknowledge the fact that Yisman and I had an idea on making the search feature better, or are you too busy trying to get people to post more so they can get a set of JJ Goggles?

The idea was that it is a better solution for basic searches and no worse for posters who go straight to advanced. It's actually one less click if you hit the orange search vs. the standard drop down, then advance.

We'll make it so the orange button brings you to the blank search tomorrow. Should do it for you?
