Happiness is relative. Most people in America are probably unhappy right now because their current level of living is below what they desire it to be. People in Ethiopia (for example) base their happiness on the ability to feed themselves. Human beings tend to self-correct so that their level of happiness is contingent on the events in their own lives, not relative to those in other areas. I dont think people in 3rd world countries are all that much more unhappy than the average American.

In answer to your question I am currently slightly below happy, though I could be much worse off.

Most gamblers are not happy mainly because we have no money and always struggle to pay the bills.

Not fun on a Sunday when you owe 3k to the book and do not have anything to pay him with.

i am very happy. ever since i quit gambling, i have no worries at all. my biggest worry i have right now is whether it is going to rain on sat cuz i am going on a boat trip.

The last time Willie Nelson was NOT stoned was 1968. People have flunked drug tests because they got too close to his tour bus. Trust me, Willie toked up before that video.
