It is a tax write off for me. I donate 1k to a local Autistic foundation and I donate 1k per year to the Red Cross, last year I donated to the Jimmy V foundation and will again this year. Great Thread.

Arent the tax benefits only like 30% on the dollar? Not that that should deter someone from donating to charity, just curious...

Not sure where you got that from? But It helps my taxes out each quarter if I donate. I pay 4 times per year.
