Who's this Travis Clay expert? Anyone who knows anything about the NBA knows James doesn't sign a contract unless it has a no-trade clause. You think he'd sign for 4 years and then get traded to the Grizzlies or Suns?

wasnt referring to any odds rather what actually took place, cavs were down 0-2 and celts were -225 at that point. dont think anybody expected lakers to be contending for a chip this season so dont know what the fuss is over

Not a big fan. I make money betting on it. I prefer Euroleague nowadays actually.

then most said surely boston would take them out no doubt but nope won that series too
Just correcting your revisionist history that's all. And these Lakers definitely should be in the playoffs over the Clippers but injuries have played a big part.. Rondo, Ball, and even James. Then they traded their one good centre (for a 2nd round pick?) which undermined them.

Magic needs to trade Lebron dead meat. The face of the NBA can't make the playoffs. Should teams tank games so that Lebron makes the playoffs?

As I said JJ, he did to "setup opportunities" for post career.
Why? You're stills somewhat in your prime and arguably the GOAT.
Go to Philly, Boston, OKC, San An, Houston, NO, Denver, Utah, Toronto.
All have a good young core that you could ride with and go to a championship. Obviously some of those are better than others. I really thought he was going to Philly.
He did it to setup his marketing/actor/post career and has said as much vaguely.
How sad.

He likely spent all offseason partying and making videos with his companies, his conditioning sucks this year, he always struggles late.

James conditioning would make Cousins blush. But what's the story with Ingram? Woke up with a shoulder injury? Who does that? Even the Lakers company man play by play guy suggested it was suspect.

He shouldn't be called an expert in anything. He actually sells picks for FOX's Outkick The Coverage (college football) using mostly Betonline openers and from what I can tell, still can't turn a profit.

As poor as the Lakers are defensively I don't think they're worse than the Cavs last season -even in the Eastern Conference finals their defense was terrible until game 6. Lakers just don't have anything off the bench right now due to injuries.
Walton has his next job lined up apparently: UCLA! He was a great fit for the young Lakers just like Blatt was a great fit for the young Cavs. Both situations impossible after James arrived...
That Ty Lue is said to be their next target just shows how few options they have; going after a guy that suffered a major health scare the last time he coached James' team.
