Just browsing through a number of NFL games, and it occurs to me that sports announcers say some stupid things, repeatedly. My personal list of amusement:
"These guys are really playing hard out there today..." (Should some other level of effort be expected?)
"That was a simply miraculous play..." (Miracles must be much more prevalent today than in the biblical days of lore, as I've heard this a few times today)
"The quarterback showed great courage staying in the pocket..." (Isn't that what he's supposed to do?)
Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I had to get it off my chest. Regardless, Happy New Year.
