Elderly Nebraska woman killed in ATV crash

GORDON Nebraska — An elderly Nebraska woman has died in a crash involving the all-terrain vehicle she was driving and a semitrailer.

The Sheridan County Sheriff’s office says 85-year-old Gladys Green of rural Gordon was driving the ATV eastbound on the westbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 20 just after noon on Monday. Investigators say she tried to make a right-hand turn onto a county road when she was hit by the truck.

Sheriff Terry Robbins says Green was alone and was heading to property she owned to spray weeds when the crash happened.

The 40-year-old driver of the semi has not been cited for any violations.

I see this with elderly relatives.They want to stay active and useful but they shouldn't be doing all this crazy crap.Why do you even care about exterminating weeds or winning a slot machine jackpot or lottery when you will be dead shortly. Senior citizens are nothing but AARP entitlement sucking whiners that want discounts and say how hard they had it growing up compared to today's kids.I wish they would go back to being a kid today to see how complicated it is.I would like to tell my dad this stuff because he's one of these people that I just talked about.hehe!

When today's 20 year old gets to be 85 he's going to lay in a remote controlled barko lounger all day cruising the internet and playing video games and will live to be 120 that way.Try telling a senior to live this way and you will get preached to that you have to stay active.Ya old lady,go out and slip on ice shoveling snow and break your hip,catch a cold and be dead in a week.
