I have a parlay tonite on the All Star game

AL ML + Under 9.5 =

I am sure sentiment will be on the side of the NL tonite but the AL is the stronger league, period.

While most people who like the AL may be inclined to take the over, given the AL's bats, I gotta think that pitching from both sides will be strong, but the AL breaks thru late to win 5-2.

So here's hoping my fellow SBR posters take this parlay with me tonite and truly make it a Positive Energy Parlay.

My first instinct was NL and the Over, and I even put that in my box score contest but the more I look at this game, I like the AL and the Under

Riding a couple of trends here. I'd normally like to see the NL win, but given that I parlayed the AL and the Under, come on American League baby!

Uh oh. I'm already on the NL to win. No feelings on the total. Kid, have you looked at the numbers here for the two teams starters? I'll try to list them here in a moment. Its a small play for me, so I'll go and route for the AL for you guys.

Ok, so looking at the likely starters, (Hill for Pedroia) and even used Cruz instead of Hamilton considering how its not a fair representation of stats the AL starters are batting .303, averaging just over 16 home runs, 53 RBI's, OBP of .377, and slugging at .523. In the same categories the NL starters (using Victorino instead of Beltran) are hitiing .315, 15 hr's, over 55 RBI's, OBP of .399 and slugging .544.

The pitching for each team is a bit harder to calculate, but with Lincecum, Haren, Santana, K-Rod and Hoffman for the NL, can the AL match this talent? Your thoughts?

And yeah, we can do something for the second half. Maybe we just do an interactive thread everyday and then do PEPs on special occasions. Whatever you guys like..

Yeah bud, you guys deserved it. I couldn't take the play due to the numbers and the line movement, but obviously wish I had followed. I'd be down for an interactive thread for the second half. I'm finally all settled at my new place and have oodles of time to play poker and talk sports betting with you boys.
