What do the far right-wingers on this board hope to accomplish by bashing Obama?

You are right in general (about the astros in the 90s). I suppose I was remembering a couple of seasons in the late 80s when the Astros were in contention at the All Star break and then folded after I placed good money on them for the pennant.

Bobby Fischer had a IQ of 180. He was a master of strategies, way ahead of his time. In the sixties he accused the Russians of drawing chess games against each other, so that they could focus their undivided attention against the lone American. He was ridiculed. Years later the Russians admitted that he had been right. He also believed that the FBI was monitoring him. Again, ridiculed. And again, proven correct years later. Then, in the early 1990's, he criticized Zionists... Immediately, and predictably, the media were all over him and portrayed him, a Jew, as a 'Hitler'... My guess? He will once again be proven right in claiming that America was turned into a Zionist dictatorship. The world is a chess board and Fischer saw very clearly. Too clearly.
They now have divided America into two camps. The camps hardly ever discuss anything relevant. The argument is little more than how stupid the other side is. That's kindergarten sandbox mentality, folks. Why are you falling for this? Why don't you look instead at how the media how formed your opinions for you?
You really believe it matters one f*ck how much Obama spends? The money is worthless paper, printed by the biggest counterfeiting operation in recorded history. The Fed is the problem. And our common enemy. We are up against a international Zionist bankers cartel, that wants us to be in a huge debt, through the use of worthless paper (!), so that they can rule us. Why do you think we're still in Iraq? Debt! War creates debt. (and makes money for the weapon industry).
The financial institutions created this mess, but are they the one suffering the consequences? No. The People have been handed the bill, and the financial institutions are in the clear. Just how did we agree to that? Because they threatened our government with a total collapse of the economy... That's how.
Let's rephrase that. They created the economic crisis. They forced the government to bail them out. They printed the money to bail themselves out. And they somehow convinced the People that the bill for all this is not theirs, but ours... And you worry about political differences between left and right?!! They're stealing our country away from us.
Let me add one thing. The Zionists own the chess board. They're masters in that realm and can't be defeated there. Darkness is not destroyed by darkness, but by light. So I would never advocate a campaign of hatred. Instead, we have to turn to ourselves and raise our own level of consciousness. Gandhi was victorious in this manner. He was the spark that freed India. Remember that India too was divided, between Hindus and Muslims. Gandhi wasn't entirely successful in uniting them, but the lesson from his battles is obvious. Our freedom is lost, unless we make the same change that Gandhi inspired in the people of India.
If we turn to violence, as is already being anticipated by the Zionist masters, they are more than ready for martial law. Gandhi showed the power of civil disobedience. We are one People, and our disagreements are nothing compared to the threat that is facing us. They own our financial system, our government, and our media. But don't worry about it. Keep calling each other names, instead.Comment -

That guy in the picture probably has an IQ lower than my shoe size. Admittedly, I do have big feet though.
Nobody is criticizing Obama for NOT fixing the economic problems he inherited. He is being criticized (and rightfully so) for making the problem MUCH, MUCH WORSE.
He is burning through TRILLIONS at a record pace with his stimulus programs, bailing out the entire financial and automotive sectors, wanting to socialize the entire medical health care system as well as coming up with programs allowing every homeowner under the sun to do just do away with their 2nd mortgages, etc.
Also, his lavish White House parties along with Michelle Obama's 22 person office staff dedicated to her needs (Laura Bush had only 2) is an outright SLAP IN THE FACE of every American considering the tough economic times that the majority of Americans are experiencing.
Every single bold initiative he has done has made our country's financial problems MUCH, MUCH WORSE.
President Bush made many mistakes during his administration but conservatives called him out each and every time.
At the present time, conservative are now POWERLESS to stop Obama. Liberal democrats need to step up to the plate and tell this man to stop plunging our country into a deeper and deeper hole. At least, there is a chance he will listen if his own support base are the ones doing the criticizing of his policies. However, since left-wing liberals have proven TIME AND TIME AGAIN that politics are far more important to them than the health of our country, I'm certainly NOT holding my breath.Comment -

#42Congrats Dark Horse !Some intelligent insight I believe !
I might add one more "Broken Spoke" in the Wheel of American Society !
The quality of "family teachings",meaning [morals ,respect] ,are just about as pitiful as they can get .
My Mother's parent's were farmers, born and raised in rural Kentucky .And ol' Grandad "expected" respect from his children. They were an average sized family in the 20's,there was Mother and her six Brothers. He never demanded respect from his children vocally ,but low and behold,[well none were that bold]if he detected the slightest disrespect,,it was "katy bar the door" !
And these same farmer siblings honored all elders too ,not just the immediate family .
Ol Granddad was a calm, cool, self disciplinarian !I never saw him out of control .Yet ,you would be terrified if you ever seriously disappointed him with ill-manners.Mother told me a story about a time when she was about 11 years old .They were having a backyard baseball game and Grandad being the pitcher.Grandad asked my Mother a question, like,"do you want to bat next ?"
Mother [absent minded I guess] approached and answered ,"huh",then Grandad simply smacked her right down to the ground !The correct answer was "sir" ,no sir,or yes sir! Mother never forgot again !
Those harsh teaching's paid off ,all seven siblings matured into excellent citizens of respect and character.
In today's average family, not one in 10 will even attempt to teach their kids to use proper manners. They have no concept of the meaning of word's like Yes Sir,or No Sir !The odds are 3/1 that,if you asked a question, you won't even hear a yes,or no,mostly likely a yeah,or nah .
And that other "really irritating" phrase" ..."no problem" !Who in the HELL started that one ?
American Family Fabric is descentigrating slowly ,but surely .
And what can we expect from the latest edition of Parents ?
The same generation that wasn't taught any fundamental manners or respect for their elders ?
Well Ladies and Gentleman ,I am telling you ,it will keep spiraling downward, down so deep ,that this could be our Country's greatest danger and threat, leading to a possible collapse of America !
A society whose wall's are crumbling into decay !Comment -

On a sidenote, beliefs don't matter. A belief is a temporary phase, a doorway to a process of investigation. If the belief is destroyed, then it was never founded. If it can't be destroyed, then it is no longer a belief. To hold on to beliefs without testing them is dogma.
I do know from experience that when the vibration is raised the consciousness can shift. Will that happen on a mass scale? Who knows? We can't change others. We can only change ourselves.
But didn't Gandhi demonstrate that it can be done? He took the high road, and the opponent responded accordingly. So it can be done. Is it likely to happen in America? That's another question.Comment -

It would be counterproductive to rally the masses against anybody. Hatred is just another trap. Gandhi used non-cooperation. How cool would it be if the People stopped recognizing this Zionist-controlled government, created their own bartering system, and, like Gandhi burning the clothes from England, held parties to burn the fake currency printed by the Fed?Comment -

government is the problem and the 2 parties do play partisan games blaming each other, but the civil disobedience spiel is a joke.
the house of representatives gets re-elected every 2 years. and the re-election rate is normally over 95%. normally over 80% are a lock to win re-election. virtually pointless for people to even vote. most people dont have a fukin clue who their representative is anyway. even less probably know their state rep.
my point is people dont care. they are oblivious to the points you are making. before civil disobedience can even be an option, you need to have a public consciousness. people dont care that they are slaves of debt to the fed. theyre too busy worried about jessica simpson and tony romo breaking up or the king of pop's memorial service.
if people did care, our president right now would be someone who understands the role of government and believes in the constitution and not a totalitarian marxist with a predilection for government involvement in non-government roles.
change can happen. every 2 years. but it never does.Comment -

While the last 6 months of watching Obama squander TRILLIONS has been quite frustrating to conservative republicans, we're all doing just fine and people like yourself still have NOTHING.
If you want Obama to make you a millionaire via a stimulus program, I would suggest you try and get a job at GM, AIG or Goldman Sachs.
Obama and this democratic congress have been more of a friend to the "fat cats" on Wall Street than President Bush ever was.

They are so stuck in there ways and you can't use logic with them. Just wait and see what the guy actually does before judging him. He is not a socialist. #66TLK, the republicans don't even have enough votes to garner a filibuster so I'm not sure why Obama worshippers like yourself continue to bring up the republicans and former President Bush everytime someone levies criticism at Barack Obama.
As far as "waiting and seeing what the guy actually does", OUR COUNTRY CAN'T FINANCIALLY AFFORD TO WAIT AT THE RATE OBAMA IS WASTING TRILLIONS.
Its been less than 6 months and he's already socialized the automotive industries and a good chunk of the financial sector and now he is moving on to complete socialization of our country's health care system without even a clue as to how he is going to pay for it.
He even had the nerve to say his socialized medical care plan is "financially sound".
If we let Obama run free for 8 full years, our country will self-destruct.
He's done more damage in 6 short months than all the previous presidents before him combined.

#68Well we're going to wait bc he's been elected president andy, he's probably going to socialize health care and that is a horrible mistake I agree (nothing we can do about it you shoulda had some of your Republican buddies vote for psycho McCain to start WW3 instead), but he's following right in line with Bush's TARP program as far as socializing the financial sector and automotive industy so not sure how you expected to avoid that unless you somehow thought an independent was going to win this election.
This is why I started this post, why dont the far right-wingers do their bashing BEFORE the election, I could see that it might have some sort of desired effect (actually it wouldn't have but I would understand it) but now that he's been elected and its locked in its like a bunch of kids whining in the backseat, grow up and respect your president and the fact he's trying to turn around one of the worst disasters in history at the hands of your hero GWB, all the bashing in the world isnt going to put McCain in the White House, if you really hate Obama then vote him out in 2012, judging from the last couple years of elections Republicans dont have too much confidence in their own party.
He also hasn't spent SO MANY TRILLIONS, what trillions has he spent so far, he hasn't even gotten his health care plan passed that's the only gargantuan spending he's done so far and it hasn't even been passed, his stimulus bill which is retarded I have to admit is half as expensive as GWB's Iraq War we're still trying to win (bc there is no reason or goal it takes longer to win).Comment -
