USA Rugby 7s Tournament Moves to Vegas
Wow, should be awesome. Has been in San Diego the last few years and has drawn ok, but not great crowds (~20k). With 44 games in 2 days, lasting around 14 minutes each, this format is great for both the action junkie and the advantage bettor. Hope the books put up lines for it.

I'm thinking that will be at Sam Boyd right?

Great move, these tickets will be sold out very quickly, San Diego got very good crowds - I'm guessing around 30,000 - and I think the capacity of Sam Boyd is around that figure, so with the global appeal of Vegas and a slightly smaller stadium there doesn't appear to be any downside.

            Feb 13-14.

EM, you're right about bigger crowds in Vegas. The San Diego event never really got more than 20 and Sam Boyd holds 36.8k. Perfect size IMO. Only issue is distance from the Strip.

Funny you should say that, I went to the UNLV game last season against Iowa State and it's a helluva trek from the strip, although I'd guess it's 50/50 they lay on some kind of transport, Rugby governing bodies are normally very pro-active in great planning and infrastructure and making it a day out for the whole family, so hopefully they would have taken that distance into account when choosing Vegas.

Of course it doesn't really matter, after 6 or 7 beers the trek to the stadium will seem insignificant.
