#72Originally posted by homie1975No. The number of draft picks went from 2 up to 4. It was never 6 picks. They wanted 6 players and 2 picks them it went to 6 players and 4 picks and then the Lakers dipped out. I live in LA and am following like a hawk.
Lakers fan?
Can you post your opinion on the trade offer.
Do you feel LA is offering too much or do you think the players being offered are bums and you'd love to see them go?Comment -

Thanks for the reply.
As we speak the Lakers are getting smoked in Indiana.
Why was LA favored in this game???Comment -

#76Lakers might as well pull the trigger and get a deal done before Thursday. It has gotten to a tipping point within the organization. They can’t afford to whiff on Davis. Lebron, his people and Magic are lined up against Luke and Ms. Buss and want this now. Lebron probably has 4 “Lebron” seasons left in him. He doesn’t want to lose out the next 2 w no AD. Carmelo and some other old guys/shooters will sign for veteran minimum to round out roster for remainder of season and then they can use summer to try and build a Gst beater. The kids involved in deal can’t be happy going to work everyday either but that is life on planet Lebron.
The guys they are giving up are nothing special and the draft picks will be lower end of 1st round. New Orleans can spin the kids they don’t like for other assets and Rondo has value for teams needing a playoff tested pg. This team could be in Vegas by 2022 anyways. New Orleans is under less pressure to make the deal. LA needs it.Comment -

This is my opinion as well.
Those guys they are trying to unload aren't ever going to be difference makers.Comment -

#88I have a feeling Anthony Davis isn't going anywhere....
Unless Lakers empty the tank... and give the most players and draft picks for 1 player in the History of the NBA.
No reason for New Orleans to give in.Comment -

New Orleans shouldn't give into the Lakers... but you never know with Boston??? They come up with some good trades. Could AD land in Boston? Very interesting.

#96The Boston rumors seem like bullshit, why would Boston trade Tatum for Davis in the offseason when Davis would only have 1 year left on his deal. Pelicans knew Davis wanted a trade before the season started when Davis hired Klutch sports, this idea that Davis sprung his trade requests on the Pelicans is garbage. Its pathetic to see all these NBA analysts report everything they're told without knowing if its accurate or using common sense. The Pelicans are being offered 5 first round picks since they could trade Ball to Phoenix for a first round pick, that's fair value for a player with a year and a half left on his deal. If New Orleans trades Ball to Phoenix for a first round pick and tanks they could have 2 top 10 picks this draft in what should be a deep draft class.Comment -

#99The Phoenix pick they would trade for Ball would likely be top 5 protected, outside of the top 5, their aren't any players that project to clearly be better than Ball, and Phoenix needs a point guard.Comment -

#103Originally posted by thomorinoPhoenix desperately needs a point guard and their aren't any great ones in this years draft class. Ball has shot well from 3 point range, its free throw shooting and the midrange game that he needs to work on, he's young he will get better.
Lakers took a big L at this trade deadline. They will hire Kidd or Billups to replace Luke by March and see how far LeBron can carry them in playoffs.Comment -
