I thought it was fantastic. The country is beautiful and the people are extremely nice (including, but not limited to, SBR's own ass kickin' Sean and the lovely and talented Mr. The Prick).

You just need to get out of San Jose for a stretch ...

Pretty damn cool.

Hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, volcanic hot springs, sloths galore, zip-lines above the canopy, fishing, bungee jumping, surfing, and a not insubstantial amount of partying. That was our Costa Rica. (Not to mention that on the very same day that we had spider monkeys eating out of our hands we had dolphins swimming alongside our boat -- that alone may well have been worth the trip.)

Costa Rica is an incredibly diverse country -- in terms of both the ecosystem as well as the people who call it home. We spent about 2½ weeks travelling around but we could have easily spent another 2½ months more.

Despite the limited perspective of the country to which we might be exposed on this and similar message boards, Costa Rica is a hell of a lot more than just casinos and sportsbooks. It was simply an amzing place to visit, and yes, we might even want to live there ...
