I'v been following college basketball for several years and use ken pom, power ratings and of course my own method. Yesterday I picked Temple which was a good pick and have made last four picks in a row. I have been staying above water for awhile. We need a couple more guys with a good % of the right picks to make some serious $$$$.

hello Danshan11, I think this will work just fine. Glad you answered. Your right, Gaze had it but then he posted multiple picks and then everyone started picking more teams. You only need one pick to make some good cash. Once you start going bananas on other picks you start going in the hole. The other think that is the most important is discipline. Don't try to catch up with the games you lost. If you are good at picking then it will not take long to catch up. Does that make since?Comment -
so the rules are only 1 pick unless you run into some mega super monster cant miss pick you missed earlier and in emergencies only.

I think the problem is that there is no such thing as a best bet, at least not on a daily basis. Who do you think the bookies are, a bunch of squares making huge mistakes left and right? How do you define a best bet? 60% winrate at -110? And if your second best bet is 59% is that not good enough?
How can you be sure that the second best bet is actually weaker than your first bet? People get burned on their best pick in the BTP contest all the time. If everyone could easily separate the mediocre picks from good picks we'd all be rich.
And what about value picks? Is a +250 dog considered a best bet when it has only a 38% chance to win? Anyway, I'll just watch from the sidelines because I'm cursed at the moment. But I wouldn't hold my breath about making stacks in this thread. I think the fact that there is no best bet thread after 10 years is proof enough. Just sayin.Comment -
