Are you serious.??????? our just nuts....... over 30 years in the federal gov......and this shutdown isn't the first......EVERY TIME THE SHUTDOWN IS OVER>>>>>WE GET PAID>>>>> It ends up being a paid vacation for most....... For me this time around ......I'm not essential......Wildland fire season is over...so I get to relax and enjoy it for once...... yes the last time a shutdown happened.... I worked....no biggie.....got paid.......
People need to have a rainy day fund and plan accordingly... I see a few people sweating things now....but they HAD to have the latest I phone,
go out to lunch every day....walk in to work carting a coffee...etc...should have planned better. Most likely no matter what job they had they would be " paycheck to paycheck".
for some, they are truly short handed and I feel sorry for them.
