Harden is nothing close to what he once was.. Lost about 7 mph on his fastball.. Looks like they want him to become an average pitcher that stays healthy instead of a superstar that's always hurt..

I agree, why are Cards only -112???
Harden suks his last 3 starts. His era is 6.28 and only lasting 2 innings his last start.
While Carpenter's last start only allowed 1 run in 7 innings.
Cards bullpen didnt even pitch yesterday. They are rested if needed.


Heres another nice stat for Harden:

Cards are not huge favourites because the Cubs absolutely own Carpenter. Their numbers combined are better than almost any I've seen against a particular pitcher. With that being said, Carpenter is really on his game and the Cards have good numbers against Dempster. Hence the small favourite.
