Maybe seattle shouldn’t have waited 3 quarters to actually push the ball down the field, to have a better chance to win. Piss poor game plan running 2 out of every 3 downs

It's really more about the apparent likelihood of it occurring to begin with, along with the outright rarity of the occurrence.
Taking a safety does not happen often.
With a kicker, we would have been looking at the late Over and a 3 point game.
The Total wasn't a bad beat, it happens all the time.
But the spread was a little unusual to push (or fail for some).Comment -

First the bet has to be in question, then the situation has to occur to take the safety. Put the two together and it's a tough one.Comment -

#399I've got to agree that intentional safety = bad beat. Sure, it happens.... about as often as Haley's Comet.
Every bad beat is going to have something random and/or uncommon happen. Dude with his ankle folded in half had the worst beat of the day.
My worst of all time was Mike Tomlin stepping his fat ass on the field and screwing up my 6 leg $1000 parlay a few years ago. Now, that's random and rare.Comment -

He crushed a lot of bettors.
As subtle as it seems he also cost his team momentum going forward. He quit.Comment -

I arrived on Wednesday night and thankfully I was able to buy it at two which is no comfort seeing how I had a grand all but won.
I thought the bad beats I took in week 15 were disturbing but this one is hard to shake as it made no sense at all. I find it hard to believe there nobody to kick an extra point. That's why they call it gambling.Comment -
