#42What I don't like about Parx is that they don't have no mid-shoe entry for $25. it's only for $50 or higher limits in a separate area.
Not everyone is idiot at Parx. It's just that when I was there two days ago, I had nothing but idiots coming to the table I was playing and I swear I lost every time they played it wrong. Sometimes, if people are lucky, they do the dumbest things and they make you win. Not this time as whatever the anchor player did, it made everyone lose badly.
For example, every time he hit 12 against the dealer 2, we lost. Had he stayed on any of them, we would have won every single one of them as he always took the card that the dealer would have broken with.
That same idiot who said proudly that he hits 12 against 2 stayed on every soft 17. What a freaking idiot.
Every time he stayed on soft 17, we all lost but had he hit, we would have won.
He even freaking took a hit on his 12 against the dealer 4 up card saying that when no one hits bad things happen.
Yeah, he took the breaking card for the dealer and once again everyone lost.
At one point, we had 3 players at the table at the same time who all stayed on soft 17. What the fuk?!!!
Of course, we all lost when if any one of them took a hit, the dealer would have broke.
Don't let my opinion stop you from going to Parx.
It's a nice casino and you might have a better crowd when you are there this weekend.
It gets so crowded on the weekends though and I don't know if would even have $15 blackjack tables as they may all go up to $25 at the peak hours.Comment -

#43Yes, I know but that's not my point.
My point is that he is so proud of hitting his 12 against the dealer 2 and yet he stays on soft 17's, which just means he has no clue on how to play blackjack.
Also, I'm just saying how bad luck the guy was always breaking his 12 with drawing 10 when it could have broken the dealer's 12's. Instead, every time he breaks his 12, the dealer made his or her 12 and we all lost. His bad luck was just unbelievable.Comment -

#44The thing with blackjack is it takes lucky people at the table to win.
How many times have you seen people play the game the wrong way and that leads you to winning?
Then, people play it right and it makes you lose anyway, but you could have won if they didn't like not hitting 12 against the dealer's deuce.
I was at a $15 Spanish 21 table at Ocean two weeks ago watching my wife play blackjack after I gave her $1,000 to play with.
At least three players at the table had no clue how to play and they were all new to playing blackjack. At random, one of the three would just hit when the obvious play was to stay. What was funny as hell was that each time one of them took a hit, they broke and lost, but that card would have made the dealer's hand and instead the dealer broke and everyone at the table won each and every time.
If none of them took a hit, then the dealer made the hand and everyone would have lost, so one of them taking turns losing was making everyone else at the table win.
My wife made several hundreds that night and her sister and brother-in-law who sat at the same table after my wife got up also cleared several hundreds.
The place was packed and the only reason my wife picked that table out of all of the blackjack tables was that the chip rack was empty and they just filled it, so she just figured that that table was giving out money and she was so right.Comment -

I went there today by 1:45 PM to place my bets for the 4:30 start time and I didn't get to place my bets until 3:15 PM, so I was in line for 1.5 hours before I could place my bets. I had to get in line with the clerks because I had a winning ticket to pickup cash, but the lines for the kiosks were just as bad and everyone takes forever to make the bets. If they get the rotation numbers ready, then it should take only about a minute or two at most to place the bets, but they must be all new as they are all calling out team names which makes the clerks a lot longer to look them up. That's really messed up and all these bettors are making like $20, $30, $50 bets and taking forever to place the bets with the clerks.
When Parx opens their sportsbook, hopefully it's nothing like Sugarhouse's waiting.Comment -

#47I know the people in front of me all lost as they told me they were betting Texans ML. A guy behind me was going to bet Seattle, but his brother called and told him to bet Dallas and the line at the time was -2.5 so he lost too.
Always stick with your first pick I say.Comment -

#48Than you wont want to go to Parx. Their sports book is way to small. It is temporary but who ever is running this part is absolutely clueless. Sports betting is going to be huge there and they are starting it off all wrong. They have one last part of the building that is supposed to be the real sportsbook but nothing has been done to it for some mindless reason. They rather concentrate on this silly craft beer room that should be opening any minute. It is really nice but to me it is to big and who the hell wants to be in a craft beer room all the time. Now the craft beer room will be bigger once they open up the real sports book that will be right next to it. I also notice im not a big fan of the lines in their book. Seeing shit like -155 ml take back +125. TV's are right on top of you cause the room is to small. Be lucky if there was 75 seats total and i am being generous. I have been saying it should be open any minute but who knows what is going on with this top shelf management there. It should be opening next week or something is wrong.Comment -

Only if Sugarhouse had more kiosks, then they could cut down the long lines.Comment -

Where can I find the info that they are opening today? I want to make sure before I drive over there to place my bet for this weekend's NFL.Comment -

I went to the kiosks which looked exactly like the ones at SugarHouse and yet the option to make a teaser bet wasn't there. It was a good thing since I would have lost, so I saved money there but pretty much broke even on the single bets.
I played Pai Gow and made about $70 and went to play poker and made another $200, so I came out ahead overall.
I don't know if anyone else plays Pai Gow poker, but I have a strategy that seems to work for me.
1. Find a seat that is the worst; basically asked the dealer.
2. Sit exact opposite from that seat that you can bank from so you would go against the worst seat if you banked.
3. Play on the seat from part 2 above and bank when you lose, which then you would go against the worst seat at the table.
4. I always try to bet $1 and $1 for the dealers on the bet and on the bonus if I'm winning. They are the ones pressing the button for the position selector number, so it never hurts and probably helps.Comment -

If they have crowd like they have at SugarHouse to make the bets, then the lines are going to snake all over the casino floor outside of that small area and I can see a huge mess since all of the kiosks are lined up in a row not like SugarHouse where they are separated in groups of 2 to 4.Comment -

#66My winning from playing poker last night was pretty much from one all-in bet and I swear I don't know what the guy was thinking calling my all-in bet.
I held Kd 8h and the flop came 8c 7c Kc. The guy bet out $25, so I called even though I was concerned that he made a flush. The turn was Kh, so right there I had the nut boat and I wasn't going to lose and hoped he made a flush.
He bet out $50, so I just called again.
The river was 6d and he checked. So, I thought about a minute and went all-in with the remaining $125. He didn't even think about it at all and instant called me.
He held 8 7 off suit for middle two pairs.
I was like whaaaaaaaaat??? He called me with that when there was a possibility of flush on the flop and a set of Kings with 2 K's on board? I forgot about the possible straight too.
I guess that's what you call a fish.
He eventually lost all his stack soon after and left.Comment -

#67Even with lots of kiosks, I cannot imagine where the lines are going to form when they have a large crow wanting to make the bets. There just isn't enough space inside that little bar area.

#68I wanted to go and bet on Washington (NBA) but my wife left early from her work and came home because she wasn't feeling well and she told me not to go even though Parx is only 10 minutes from me. She is probably worried about me staying and playing other games for long hours. Well, Washington is up 63-48 when they were +3.5. If that holds up, then she just cost me money. All she does is cost me money as she was 0-9 on the hedge bets and yet all I do is give her money by sharing the winnings.Comment -
