Rick Pitino reportedly takes job in Greece

Former Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino is reportedly set to become the next coach of Panathinkaikos, a EuroLeague team in Greece.

Pitino could join the team "shortly after Christmas."

Panathinkaikos plays in Athens and has won several EuroLeague titles over the years.
Pitino served as Kentucky's basketball coach from 1989 to 1997 and coached at Louisville from 2001 to 2017. He was fired last September after Louisville was named in the FBI's investigation into college basketball recruiting.

Yes he did. Another advantage the Euro teams will have especially when they play in Athens is the arena is not air conditioned like NBA arenas and it could be 80 degrees in the arena and on top of that you have 10,000 screaming soccer style fans that NBA players will have a hard time adjusting to.
