jj, you are right when you are dealing with all these degenerates here at sbr. everyone here is sick..
but occasional gmblers do exist. i know about 12 guys that never gamble all year, and only come back for nfl and bet like 2 to 3 games a weekend that they like.. and then after nfl, they disappear.
just like occasional drinkers who only drink 1 or 2 beers on the weekend and not during the week, or occasional smokers who only smoke during sat night poker games..
it does exist, but not the sbr guys. the sbr boys are all sick gamblers..

Hobby for me, I don't bet enough to be a serious gambler. Have to feed the family and pay the mortgage. Would never want to sweat out big bets and tell the wife and kids we're eating raman noodles for the next month if I go on a bad run.Comment -

haha it pays my cell phone bill, my car insurance, for my condoms and cigs, not my rent..

if i bet big enough to pay for my house, i would be risking more than i could afford to lose and we all know thats a recipe for disaster.
over the years ive been able to make the move from a $10 dollar bettor to a $100 bettor, hopefully in the months and years to come ill be able to step up to the $500 or $1000 a game mark.
like most "professional" gamblers and poker players (which i am not), we all gotta start somewhere.
im not a pro, just a casual player with better than average judgement and bankroll management.Comment -
The amount has nothing to do with being a compulsive gambler. If you bet $10 per game you can still be a compusive gambler.
