what did you guys play in the schoolyard during recess and lunch? We played one of the greatest games ever... DODGEBALL.. and during lunch, we sometimes played Soccer-Baseball.

What a great time that was.. I swear i was great at it, too. Didn't have a great arm, didn't eliminate alot of people, but boy, did i have great hands.. I used to catch those balls a lot and hardly dropped them.

We also played elimination, where we'd throw a tennis ball against the way and call a name and that person had to catch it.

We played kick ball and wiffle ball in recess...we played dodge ball in gym class though

Tennis Racket Baseball during Recess....during gym, Dodgeball and steal the pin dodgeball and games like that

but nothing beats MANY basketball and football games... the other games were fun to play with everyone, but there was always more action on basketball and football

Back in grade school (early-mid 60s for me), the boys went out and played baseball or kickball and the girls played 4-square, hop scotch and badminton.

We did bet our milk money on a form of fantasy baseball in junior high.

As a fellow canuck I can testify that tetherball is indeed quite popular in some areas... kickball Ive never seen played but have obviously heard of.

Some other schools were also big on variations of four square.

We also played lots of football, mostly tackle, we played world cup soccer, we deemed the losers of the playground the "Bosnian buttheads". True.
