My Top 5 Passionate Gamblers at SBR
    1. Fishhead

Guy gambles or thinks about gambling 24/7...drives 3000 miles on gambling vacations, goes to casinos all over the USA and has over 25 different players cards at various casinos

    2. Nicky Santoro

The guy hasn't left his house since February and stares at lines 362 days out of the year, only exception being during the baseball all star break because that is the only time there is no games. For 3 days a year during the all star break, the guy goes out and makes his yearly errands like going to get his drivers license renewed, etc.

    3. Patty Venditto

This kid is a very sick gambler, he direct deposits his paycheck into ******** account and then into an offshore account. His bank account is in the red and he probably owes massive credit card bills, but still gambles his balls off and never wins. He is very passionate about gambling, it comes first for Patty

    4. Uncle Richie Richkas

This guy has quit gambling over 2,348 times in his life only to come back the next day and start gambling. Richie is addicted to horses and sports and has action every day on either or. The only time he leaves his house is to go to the OTB, or to go get beer or cigarettes. One time Nicky even mailed him money for a 12 pack.

    5. jjgold

This guy is down over $24k since the SBR Spreadsheet was implemented last Sept....and still plays a full card of games daily. He is very passionate about gambling and keeping track of his plays with his spreadsheet and having Slick Fazzer analyze his selections. He is very passionate about gambling because it is all he has. He has recently shown passion in horse racing and has been shown to be successful in a limited sample size.

I think Fishead loves to travel the furthest away possible to keep himself from gambling in those hours that he's driving.

if you are talking passionate.. then how could you have missed the #1 on the list.. hands down

        it's bobbyfk.

have you ever seen how passionate he gets in his vids.. he's still the only poster on record to have cried actual tears during a vid on acct of games lost.. he even bets his whole unemployment check on games, you can't get more passionate than that..

and you don't even have him as #1, let alone the top 5?

Patty Venditto has been wagering for 8 years, he has the experience. Everyone else is a professional gambler

Why aren't we calling this list the top 5 Gamble-holics?

Honoring folks who crash and burn while wrecking their families ain't cool.

JJ strips tons of money off his entertainment biz, BTW, and I'm fairly sure his record is cooked.

jj is a fraud. He talked all kinds of nonsense about Wimbledon and then said he didn't bet on any of it because he's smart.

Unless you've got a book that will take stale lines from 11:30am up until first pitch 8 or 10 hours later that day, you can't benefit from OTW's picks. That's his record from the contest that just concluded in July. Lines posted and locked in at 11:30am and OTW chasing the hottest steam plays of the day, posting 5 minutes before first pitch.

It taught me a lesson about SBR competitions. The first and last one I will ever participate in under that format. No test of skill whatsoever.

Goddamn Nicky. You really do live on this site don't you.

Hey, I wasn't gonna win anyway. I finished at like +10.5 or so units. I was in the top 10, but not really near the top. I just think it's funny that people are asking Onner now about his record since he's posted it in his sig. Like it's an accurate account of his handicapping prowess or something. Gimme a break. I don't begrudge the guy his title, but what's up with the sig record?

In other words OTW, it's one thing to win a competition using this tactic....admitting the tactic...and even being proud of the fact you won by adhering to this tactic. OK. But to put your record in your sig is just taking it a little too far, imo. It's not an accurate record. By your own admission, you didn't handicap a single one of those 74 picks. And everyone knows you'd never have gotten that unit accumulation if you'd actually had to take the line as it was when you placed the "bet".

So really....the sig record? Maybe a little bit much? Hmmm?

now you see onner that i was always right, huh? you saw me do the same tactic in DEC over 500 plays and i ended up +53 units by betting off #'s.. and now you winning this at +18 units doing same thing as me.

does this now prove to everyone that beating closing #'s is the only way to win.. onner, you must be now convinced for sure after all this.. onner, no one ever listened to me here for the last 1 yr.. they all doubted me.. people continue to think they can make $$ just handicapping.. but you were the only one that really paid attention and applied it yourself and look at the results..

i'm happy you saw the light with this now..

                                              Nicky...

Of course you are going to win betting 8-10 hour old stale lines. I don't understand why you continue to pat yourself and OTW on the back for this great revelation. No shit you're going to win if you have that kind of advantage. But in real life, you don't have 8-10 hours to bet a line.

This "contest" didn't prove that chasing steam beats handicapping. It just proved that betting 8-10 hour old lines beats handicapping. I looked at the competition as a neat little diversion - a test of skill between myself and the other participants. I thought it'd be fun and I couldn't have cared less about the $150 reward. I underestimated the allure of the reward I guess. That people would be so hungry for a $150 that they would sully the true nature of a handicapping contest is beyond me, but that's fine. He won and he's $150 richer for it! Congrats onner. But to continue with the self-adulation and posting the record in your sig and have you Nicky constantly stroking the kid for being such a fine pupil because he beat 8 hour old lines for a month..... it's a little sickening.
