Forum "Social Groups" are broken

A few months ago I saw the "Social Groups" link on the left side of the SBR User Control Panel, and so I set one up for us chat guys. It was a way for us to share plays and relate information shared in chat to those not present. It never quite worked right, and now it appears completely broken, you can't even view existing discussions or comment on them.

I also notice that the link was removed from the new forum skin in the User CP, yet another reason I prefer to remain with SBR Classic. Would it be possible to have somebody take a look at it? I think if we could get it running smoothly it'd be a nice addition to our social networking. We tried having a chat spreadsheet, but that was during the time the spreadsheet kept breaking and it never was able to get off the ground. Sharing plays through the social group seemed to make more sense since we could all start a discussion and others could add their thoughts to it.

Any help you can give us would be most appreciated.

Ugh, no kidding, JayC. I've been hoping for a chat room overhaul for awhile now, although they have alleviated some of the major issues. It doesn't lag as often, and they must've figured out what was causing it to shut down at 2200h PDT every night because that phenomenon ended just about a week ago. It's still very clunky though, and the PM function (and its transparency to Mods in the room) is woefully inadequate.

We're also reaching the critical mass necessary where more rooms for different topics are becoming necessary. Oftentimes we'll have three or four simultaneous discussions, and a room/tab for horse racing, handicapping, gossip, etc. would allow people to participate in the topics that they wish without getting bogged down by the other conversations. PMs need to go in another tab as well because they displace conversation space in the main window. Lots of work to be done, and I look forward to seeing how it's approached.
