i have younger sisters and cousins that are around sahel's age, so perhaps i empathize with her situation. i fully believe that mcnair led her on for 5 mos and she (foolishly) fell for his lies that he would divorce his wife and marry her. but again, i am going to side with the 19 yr old girl (at the time they met 5 mos ago) over the 35 yr old (turned 36 in feb, so right around the time they met) when it comes to deciding who should have known better

a light sentence for killing him? no way

other way around. if mcnair offed her he gets the star athlete justice. if she offs mcnair and survives, she gets the book thrown at her for killing a star athlete.

she would have been crucified by the prosecutors and the jury and would have gotten the max for either 1st degree murder or manslaughter

He took a cab home and left her to get hauled off. I have NO sympathy for the guy.

What were his options? They wouldn't have let him ride in the police car and go into jail with her if he didn't commit any crime. The only option he had was to leave the scene and let her go to jail.

What else is there he could have done? He bailed her out after that. What more could she want from him other than a divorce from his wife

After all he is Steve McNair right. Big name in Nashville and all that. I don't exactly what transpired after he bailed her out. Maybe he called an attorney on her behalf? Maybe he didn't. He's a slime bag.

where do i start? how about a 36 yr old married father of 4, have the sense not to let a 20 yr old underage girl drink and then drive. why let her drive in that condition, why take a chance. a souped up escalade in downtown hickville, i mean, nashville, like that was not gona draw any attention from cops at 1:30 am on a quiet thurs morning after a wed night. how about leaving the esacalade in a parking garage downtown and taking a cab home? what, he does not have the money? he's scared of cabby seeing him and the girl together when they were already spotted together in a downtown bar or club?

the more i hear about this, the more i believe that she confronted him about the other girl she thought he was seeing and the fact that he was not getting a divorce. he probably finally admitted to her that he is seeing someone else as well, and that he does not belong to sahel so he is free to see whomever he wants and he is going to stay married to his wife. for him to co-sign on her car and let her stay in his condo means this a pretty serious relationship. i have little doubt that he made many promises to this young impressionable girl. think back to when you were all 20 yrs young, how dumb and naive you were. she probably believed every word he said then her friends said "sahel wake up, he's 2 timing is wife so he's gona 2-time you. he's only been with black and white chicks so he needed a brown persian type chick for another notch on his belt. now he's gona move on without you.

when he fell asleep from his friday night drinking binge, she probably checked his cell phone and saw text messages and calls from the other chick, and that was that. she felt her life was spinning completely out of control and he was going down with her. suicide was unacceptable as was homicide, but i still have much more empathy for the 20 yr old lost orphan whose parents died in iran, then the 2 and 3 an probably 5 timing former star athlete who is too busy taking 4 vacations in 5 mos with a 20 yr old to spend time with his 4 children

i bet he was a shitty dad. charity begins at home. if you're not taking care of your own family, stop showing up to charity events in nashville where you're probably mainly there to scope for new 'strange' pussy
