He doesnt need a jump shot. He needs to really improve in two areas that do concern me. Turnovers and free throws. He had 11 to”s tonight... thats more then most teams on a single night. Then you got his ft issues. Listen, he could get to the rim whenever he wants but he doesnt bc even he knows hes awful at the ft line.. teams still do hacka ben on him. Its embarrassing.

Carmelo has basically been a bum, ever since he left Denver for New York.

And even though Lin was never that special of a player, he did revive Carmelo's career in New York. But the selfish, lazy defensive player, Carmelo could not stand that "Linsanity" was getting more attention than him.

Simmons is young, but he will probably never develop a 3-point shot, nor does he need to at his height.

However, the turnovers and missed free throws are completely unacceptable, and if this keeps up, he may just be better off just being a post-up player, rebounder and defender, like Dennis Rodman, even though Rodman could not post-up.

i really don't understand the simmons hype.

my understanding was that he hasn't taken a voluntary 3 pointer the last 2 seasons. he has taken 3's but always motivated by shot clock or game clock.

how can he not have taken one 3 pointer? it's bizarre and people say the league is all about shooting now.... of course, you have to get the ball to the shooters and simmons is good there.... but i just see simmons having problems against better teams and/or in big games. defenses get much much tighter and what does he do? how hard is a non-shooter to stop?
