Why Don't We all Fade the Nats?
I just saw someone make this comment in another thread and it occured to me...

The Nationals are an astounding 7-32 against NL East opponents this year... They have the worst record in baseball... 23 wins and something like 30 games under .500

If you manage your money right, why not fade this team the entire season?

It seems like some big $$$ can be made fading them....

Damn... Just because he avoided the juice by taking them as underdogs every night... ?

No. I think what he is trying to say is that he chose which games he thought the Nats would win. I think the best way to profit off of the Nats is to figure out which games they will win and bet them.

Your right its so much easier to fade. 23-55 it can't get worse than that can it? Yes it can they got another loss coming tomorrow in Atlanta, if they somehow win that they go to Colorado on Monday. Colorado will kick the nats sorry asses out of coors field. I've been fading them just bet light so you can chase your losses. Its the closest thing to a guarantee in baseball.

If it were this easy, we'd all be rich! The books adjust the odds over time, and if the Nats stay this bad, you will start seeing more -300s on the favorites against them. In other words, the faves will start to become overvalued and even playing against the Nats every game the rest of the year would result in a net loss.

Do you think this might already be happening? Is it too late to cash on the Nats' bad run? There must books out there that allow you to bet ex post facto... no?

Bet on the Nats with Lannan and Zimmerman on the hill vs. mediocre teams on the 5 inning line.

Bet against the Nats when Martis, Detwiller, Olson are on the hill and take the Runline. Maybe even Parlay the OVER and the Runline

The odds on the NATs opposition are always inflated, so you would have to lay the wood to win anything. Then when they turn around and win, you would be assed out, and broke.

Fade pitchers not teams. Baseball is just something to keep gamblers busy until the real sports start up in the fall. Baseball is way to unpredictable to really have a good time betting it. At least for me.

And yet some guys will probably still fade the Nats the rest of the year because of this thread. That is, if their bankroll lasts the rest of the year.

From my observation, the good cappers on this board don't take games with high juice. Therefore, they don't fade the Nats. It's logical not to bet on games with high juice when there are many games with better value to choose from. I have yet learn how to calculate the VALUE in the odd, so I'm willing to take up to -160.
