I can find them occasionally - for the bigger races especially. But nothing for free on a regular basis. I think TVG or one of the big horse sites has some deal where they are provided if you wager a certain amount. Let's see if others have thoughts - the old DRF is up to $6 a shot and we could all use a break.

Open an account with Twinspires OnThewhat and when you bet $2 at the track of your choice you get free forms and other very good stuff, Youbet does this too. Legal American Race books

It's just $2 a card (all races for one track for the day). Definitely worth it. I use equibase. This is not the place to save a few dollars. No racing form, no chance.

I have been a serious horseplayer for over 25 years as well as having owning horses in Southern California for about 15 years.

It is just about impossible to show a profit at the end of the year by straight handicapping.

Back to the question you asked, you can get UNLIMITED downloads of every race at every recognized track for $799/year @ www.drf.com

As far as free forms, you can move to Las Vegas and get them free if you bet enough or you can get forms for the specific races you are betting on at places like YouBet and TwinSpires.

I like playing the ponies too. I live about 15 minutes from Lone Star Park but its too phucking hot out here to go to any races. I would also love to find free forms.

Personally I like the brisnet PP's better than any. The beyer number is horrible. And you can pretty much get those for free if you look hard enough. Or you can do like JJ said and use twinspires and the brisnet PP's are free as long as you make a small $2 wager.

You have to take those handicappers at the track with a grain of salt. Amazing how there can be two or three of them there, and they will all have a different pick on the upcoming race. Their job is to make sure you think every horse in the race has a chance so Joe Blow walks up to window throwing everything in their superfecta. The guys on TVG and HRTV are the same way - anything to get you putting a bet in.

racing is pretty strict in USA when it comes to that

tough to consistently come out ahead playing horses using the racing form and math analysis

reading the tote board's changing odds before and around posttime may be a better way to go than crunching #'s from the form

either way tough to overcome track take of nearly 20 %

We need more money in the pools get in OTW as stated above Youbet $2 bet gets you tracks full PP, thats where I play and its A+ as far as 2-3 day check for free and decent rewards program

I played horses from 1969 till 1986 and recently from 2004 till current I have played online poker with some sports throughout. Poker is by far the way to go. 100k per year is in easy reach with never having to deposit a dime. Online poker also offers much bigger payoffs. Whatever you do it takes work and time. Don't push it as it usally takes 5-8 years to become a master. My first year at poker was for play money. Always think in probabilities and not possibilities. Good Luck

Onner, I would just reiterate what JJ and Richkas have said. Start an account at youbet.com. It's a free 2 month trial, and there so many handicapping resources there it's ridiculous. You don't even need a PP because you can watch the video of all the horses previous races if you want. But of course you would rather have a program and you can Equibases track program for every race for free as long as you bet $2 on that track. Just click on handicapping products and you'll see the free program listed in there. I usually buy the program and the first thing I do is book at least a $2 pick 3 or daily double for that track before I forget about it. Sometimes you won't see any races you really lke on the card so at least you got your program paid for.
