If you were to start your own gambling site what model would you choose

You can start your own sportsbook. This takes alot of money to get off the ground you got to offer fair lines to match your competition while getting even action to guarentee yourself a profit.

Or

You can start your own poker website where you put up absolutely no money you charge service fees for all tournaments and collect rake on all cash games. These poker houses make so much money with no risks that they give awaY hundreds of thousands a day in freerolls and bad beat bonuses. How is this not the perfect business model

Out of these two, I would start the poker site. If I could include it, I would also include a few sports betting exchange markets on it so that not only the rake from the poker comes in, but some risk-free commissions from players betting against each other on sports. With all of this, money comes in without having to worry about balancing action, line moves, injuries, etc. Later on after enough money comes in, then I would think about opening a more full-fledged sportsbook with reduced juice and the works. By then, enough is saved up so you can afford the risk at making more.

This would work in tandem with each of us playing at other books because you could still bet your 100, 500 or 1k a game or whatever at your book, but then just bet like 20 or 50 vs the guy you are arguing on a forum with...

This site gets money to host it and we get to have our dispute settled...

well yeah... it wont make ANYWHERE near the poker sites running all day... but it would combine owning the sportsbook with the risk free of owning a poker site

and the great part of it would be that it could get anyone from any forum to go against each other...

heck, it could sponsor EOG vs SBR member contests and games and what not...options are plenty
