WagerWeb e-mail raises my eyebrows - not in a good way
    Two red flags here:

    1) 50% bonus (20% cash + 30% freeplay) is a pretty crazy bonus to be giving out at any time.

    2) I have had an account there for years - and it is currently funded - so I don't know what is behind this "Once you have created your account . . . " stuff They got their hands on some outside database and didn't cross-check??? I don't know.

I don't like it. Kind of reminds me of Actionbets and Bet4Aces desperation for deposits right before their respective troubles began.

    I hope I'm wrong.

    Here is the whole text:

    Hi

I invite you to have the greatest time ever by joining WAGERWEB.COM, you can create your free account at the following link:

    *link*

Once you have created your account, if you deposit I will give you a 50% bonus (20% cash bonus + 30% free play with a 10x rollover), we normally only give a 10% bonus but you have been chosen to get this special promotion. Your promotion code is ******, you will need this so the bonus can be credited.

If you have further questions please let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Charlie

I got the same email. I think this could be a rogue affiliate sending out these emails and not Wagerweb themselves. I realize the email is coming from a wagerwed email account, but it could be spoofs.

Sure wish that offer applied to me though.....although my limits are $100 there, lol.

          BAUS,

The email is a genuine wagerweb email. I have talked to Charlie on the phone several times.

            What is the max bonus?

Sent to the right email list with low limits, it is a good offer for the house. 35-40% cash at 10x roll wouldn't be considered excessive.

Wagerweb is an ok book for the small player and a guy looking for a generic type book that is rated about a C+.

Not in my top 25 though but playable.
