Was i out of line? he was a real jerk.. What if you boys give someone a decent tip and they don't even say thank you? would you ask for it back?

Nicky this is what gamblers do, I will never forget to incidents one with Sick Gambler and the second with JohnnyV .

Sick Gambler never wanted to buy anything even though he had books funded over 100,000. I swear the kid always said "this shirt is too expensive, I will never buy that belt, are you kidding me $7 for a sandwich"

JohnnyV gambles day and night and he never ever spends one dime on himself, he wears the same fukkin shirt day in and day out and I asked him last night why he does not get a new shirt and he said "JJ they want too much money" LOL!! The kid bets big numbers too.

Gamblers never ever spend money and are very cheap other than gambling. It is alright to lose 1k betting mut not allright to spend $15 on a new fukkin shirt.

damn nicky...this is a bit uncharacteristic of you. what i might have done is let the guy ignore you and call the restaurant and find out his name...if they ask why, just tell them that he was a really nice young man and they should be proud. then next week call and ask if he is working and if he is, order a dumptruck load of sushi. have the little fukker deliver it. get it in the house and then totally stiff the sorry fukk. you were being overly nice with the $5 tip in the first place. take out tipping shouldnt be near as much as dine in. fukk that kid

I am in the service industry and as much as I understand that poo service should equal poor tips, what did the waiter do to deserve just 10 cents? I mean him flirting with the table next to you should only be frowned upon if it detracted severly from his service to you. Were you left waiting for anything because of his flirting? Just curious. Nicky, what the delivery guy did was uncalled for. I think what you did taking back the whole tip was pushing it, but I don't blame you.

You are lucky I know you are kidding. Sad thing is some people think this way. my answer to that is enjoy you meal when nobody is serving you your drinks or food. I also ask them what THEY do and remind them that the service industry is one of the few industries that is honorable because you get paid for doing a good job. To many jobs today you just get paid for showing up. If they still have something to say to me, I usually punch them and ask them how does my fist taste. then I tell them that there is no need to tip me for the fist sandwich.

casper, i have been to many a restaurants in my life.. and i swear, i have days that i have sat down, 14 min before woman came to my table.. my table remained dirty and not cleaned before i start.. she ignores me for the 1st 14 min.. then comes with a dirty rag, cleans table, brings me warm disgusting water.. takes my order, food takes 20 min to arrive.. i ask her for napkins 23x, she never comes.. i wave to her for a refill of coffee, she pretended she didn't see me.. i ask for ketchup, had to ask 3x, she never brought it. .nightmare of an experience..

bill comes in.. 12.48$.. i give her 14$ (10%) cause it was shitty service. She gets all pissed and rude with me.. was i right to give her 10%, OR does it have to be 15% no matter what? she really sucked..

she was lucky to get anything. what would you have given her?

If it was really bad service leave nothing. I Would even complain to the MOD becuase you will most likely get a discount. But if the survice was solid I would leave 20%, 15% is on the cheap end.

I've had some bad experiences with delivery guys. One time a guy tried to steal my money by claiming the store charged for delivery (in addition to a tip). I know for a fact that that pizza place offers free delivery.

From what you just wrote, you did the right thing. When she got rude with you, I would have even gone as far as to tell her why she got the tip she did. I am one of those guys that doesn't think that just because you are in the industry, you get a big tip. I am from the cloth that if you get good service, 20% is expected. Just my opinion.

Directv tried to bill me $10 disconnect fee. After the CS agent said he would not take it off the bill. I couldn't control my temper and told him to fuk himself and cancel everything. Prick company tries to bleed you dry with all their bullshit misc charges. The product is excellent but I got sick of the $100 monthly bill.

I once got chewed out for doin my job , If a cup of water was half full/empty, we were to fill it up. I must of filled this guys cup up 4 or 5 times and the last time I go to fill it up he covers it and says, " I'm not a fukkin fish!"

I filled it too many times and got bitched at, and if I didnt fill it up enough I still woulda got bitched at.

For poor service I always tip well, 18%-20%, and let the people at the door (management) know that you will never be back. Say something like, "the food was great, the service was not.. I will not be back". Management will know what happened.
